Crypto take-profit
calculator.

Plan a take-profit ladder with partial sales. See what each target would return, the profit on the tokens sold, and how many tokens you would still hold.

Enter your own figures or try the example.

Your scenario

Use full numbers, with a dot for decimals. Commas may separate thousands.

Every sell percentage uses your original holding. Two sales of 25% sell 50% in total. Enter prices in increasing order.

Target 1
Target 2
Target 3

Leave unused rows blank. Total sales can be less than 100%.

Calculation inputs stay in this tab. Setting an alert shares the target you choose. No wallet connection.

How the partial take-profit calculator works

For each target, the tool calculates a sale quantity from the original number of tokens. It multiplies that quantity by the target price, then adds the proceeds across your ladder.

Tokens sold at a target = original token quantity × sell percentage ÷ 100
Gross proceeds = tokens sold × target price
Estimated profit = tokens sold × (target price − average buy price)

If you leave your average buy price blank, the tool still calculates proceeds and remaining tokens. It leaves profit uncalculated rather than treating the entire sale as profit. A target below your buy price produces an estimated loss.

A worked example: selling 25% twice

Suppose you hold 1,000 tokens bought at an average of 0.10 USD. You model selling 25% at 0.20 USD and another 25% at 0.30 USD.

  • First sale: 250 tokens × 0.20 USD = 50 USD proceeds and 25 USD estimated profit.
  • Second sale: 250 tokens × 0.30 USD = 75 USD proceeds and 50 USD estimated profit.
  • Total: 125 USD proceeds, less 50 USD acquisition cost for the sold tokens, gives 75 USD estimated profit. You still hold 500 tokens, with 50 USD of the entered acquisition cost allocated to them.

Subtracting the whole 100 USD purchase cost from a half-position sale would answer a different question. This calculator reports profit on the portion sold and keeps the remaining cost separate. “Try example” loads this scenario.

Are the percentages of the original bag or what remains?

The original bag. With 1,000 tokens, each 25% target sells 250 tokens. The percentages can total up to 100%. A percentage of the remaining balance is a different method and would give different results.

Does a take-profit ladder guarantee the sales happen?

No. This is a spot-holding scenario with no leverage. It assumes each listed quantity could be sold at its exact target price. It does not model order-book liquidity, fees, slippage, price gaps or taxes, and it recommends no sale percentages or prices. Actual execution depends on your exchange and orders. The average-cost allocation shown here is not a jurisdiction-specific tax calculation.

Can I turn the ladder into email reminders?

Choose one target in your result and start an alert. After creating an account or signing in, pick the matching coin and save the target. You can add more targets to the same bag. Alerts use fresh observations at or above your chosen price, so a target already met may alert on the next check. Monitoring intervals can miss brief moves, and an email is not an exchange sell order.
